Qieer Wang ('16) selected for Holland Animation Film Festival 2016

Two of current ‪thesis‬ student Qieer Wang's animated short films - First Breath and Toe, Petal, Cosmos - have been selected by the Holland Animation Film Festival, HAFFTube competition 2016. 

Her films are among 50 that made the shortlist.

Shreyas R Krishnan ('16) wins an Excellence Award at MoCCA Arts Festival 2016

Current student Shreyas R Krishnan ('16) won an Excellence Award at the MoCCA Arts Festival 2016 in recognition of the most outstanding work on view at the festival. Her winning piece, also a part of her thesis work at ILP, was 'Becoming Rosie' a short comic examining Rosie the Riveter and performative gender.

The awards were juried by Calista Brill, Cliff Chiang, Charles Kochman, Mark Newgarden and Lauren Weinstein.

Ashley Yazdani '16 / Trinkett Clark Internship

Ashley Yazdani '16 was chosen for the Trinkett Clark Internship at The Eric Carle Museum of Picture Book Art in Amherst, MA. Over the summer she will be helping in many of the museum's departments, as well as curating a small gallery show of her own devising.

This internship is a perfect fit to Ashley's interest and experience in picture books, and current rising interest in research and writing on picture books that emerged from her work in the ILP Critical Seminar course. She has also applied for The Meyerhoff Internship Fellowship Program supported by the The Meyerhoff Center for Career Development.
