The Little One
2020
Clay, paper, acrylic, resin, digital

Disorientation, regret for past choices, panic and restless hope. These are some of the voices that have been in my heart since the COVID-19 outbreak. I imagine each of them as an independent creature that lives in my world. Sometimes they become huge and heavy while I feel tiny and weary. Other times they show vulnerability and become my partners that deserve my protection. I visualized them in this work by giving them shapes of birds because birds are always prepared for action. They live in anticipation of whatever happens in the future. Just like I do during this time. By bringing them into the real world, I settled down my experience and emotions for this peculiar time.
