Hi, I’m Han. As an illustrator, I see working with ceramic and textile as drawing in 3D. Everyday life has always been my greatest source of inspiration. I attempt to capture the objects, moments and feelings I treasure in life through my work.
Delighters is a series of ceramic sculptures about “fake lighters” installed with the rugs I’ve made. As a lighter user, I consider lighters as personal possessions. They are private and unique. At the same time, they are transient and often shared. So I made my objects about the size of a real lighter, to see the interactions between the audience and the work.
