Bug Magic is a series of inky illustrations that explore the uniqueness and beauty of the insect world. Elements of line, shape, texture and pattern depict insects through a graphic eye. Often overlooked and underestimated, insects are incredibly important partners that deserve more understanding. Bug Magic is an homage to these tiny yet essential creatures.
ABOUT THE ARTIST
Kristina Gauer is an illustrator from Akron, Ohio where she grew up amongst the lakes and forests of Cuyahoga Valley National Park. She finds the natural world to be an endless source of inspiration, full of tactility and meaning that continually appears throughout her work. She is interested in commissions for children’s book illustration, surface design, and handcrafted unique goods for people of all ages.
